Dr. Steven Krendl

At Colorado Dental Arts in Littleton, Dr. Steven Krendl is trained in advanced Invisalign techniques that allow him to treat more complex cases. If a tooth's orientation or position limits an aligner's ability to grip it, Dr. Krendl uses Invisalign attachments, tiny tooth-colored bumps, to achieve tooth movement not previously possible.

If you've been told Invisalign treatment won't work for you, get a second opinion from Dr. Krendl. He can examine your teeth to determine if attachments can make your hopes for clear aligner systems come true. And, if clear aligners just won't work, he will be honest with you and can recommend a trusted orthodontist. Contact us online to ask a question or reach us by phone.

See How Invisalign Compares to Braces

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign aligner trays move your teeth much like traditional braces do: by applying pressure. First, a series of custom plastic trays are molded to fit precisely on your teeth. About every two weeks you will swap out your old aligners with the next ones in the series. Each new tray will get you closer to your ideal smile.

The key to success with this orthodontic treatment is a commitment to wearing the clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day. In typical cases, a patient will receive a series of 20 to 30 aligners and complete treatment in about 12 to 15 months.

Dr. Krendl Offers a Full Line of Invisalign Services for Custom Orthodontic Treatment

At Colorado Dental Arts in Littleton, CO, Dr. Steven Krendl offers an entire suite of Invisalign orthodontic options, which allows him to customize treatment to patients' unique needs. In addition to traditional Invisalign treatment, he offers:

Invisalign Express

If you don't have major orthodontic issues, you may qualify for Invisalign Express, which is designed for minor crowding, spacing, or cosmetic issues. Invisalign Express works the same way as traditional Invisalign; by using invisible aligners to straighten the teeth. However, the treatment plan uses just 10 aligners or less. Treatment can typically be completed in six months versus 12 to 15 months using the traditional method.

Invisalign Attachments

An Invisalign aligner with attachments

Invisalign attachments are an important advancement in clear orthodontic aligner tray technology; the attachments allow more people than ever the opportunity to skip the orthodontist and traditional braces. Attachments are small, tooth-colored bumps that let the aligners get a better grip on teeth that are rotated or angled. By clicking onto an attachment, the aligners can achieve complex tooth movements previously only possible with metal braces. Talk to Dr. Krendl at Colorado Dental Arts in Littleton to see if the combination of aligners and attachments will work for you.

Introducing ClearCorrect Another Clear Aligner System

/

Created by a dentist, ClearCorrect™ was made specifically to help patients conveniently straighten their teeth. That means from the moment it was made, it focused on individual patients and tailor-made custom results. Dr. Krendl can guide you through the advantages of this orthodontic option.

Straightening Your Smile With Convenient ClearCorrect

We offer ClearCorrect at our practice because it's an effective and discreet orthodontic alternative to traditional braces. Like Invisalign, ClearCorrect is a series of clear aligners that are customized to your bite and should be worn for about 20 to 22 hours each day.

Enjoy Faster Treatment With Clear Correct

Depending on the severity of your dental misalignment, you could be finished with your ClearCorrect treatment in less than a year. The usual ClearCorrect timeline ranges from 10 to 18 months. Dr. Krendl is happy to discuss your candidacy at our Littleton office.

You're Never Too Old to Consider ClearCorrect

If you've always wanted to straighten your teeth, it's not too late. We treat many adult patients with simple and effective ClearCorrect clear aligners.

ClearCorrect is a simple system that orthodontists and dentists alike use for discreet care. Many adults appreciate how aligners allow them to speak and smile confidently throughout treatment. Aligners are also more comfortable than traditional braces, and because they're removable, you'll be able to brush and floss your teeth with ease.

Our dentist, Dr. Krendl, will kindly let you know if you are a candidate for ClearCorrect or Invisalign treatment during your consultation. He's also happy to answer any questions that you might have so that you feel fully confident about your treatment.

We accept financing to make this dental treatment even easier for our patients. To begin, contact our Littleton office or call our friendly team:

I've been going here for about a year, and it's been great the whole time. I really appreciate how Dr. Krendl explains things as he goes along so I can understand all parts of the process, and he is great at following up to make sure everything is still going well after I leave from getting a filling.

Dr. Krendl and his team have been phenomenal. I hated going to the dentist so much that I didn't go for over 10 years but was fortunate to find a dentist I can trust. I moved across town and still make the hour plus drive to stay with the same dentist. That should tell you all you need to know.

Invisalign Treatment Plan

Although Invisalign and ClearCorrect are proven methods in orthodontics, they're not right for every patient. If you suffer from severe malocclusion, you may need traditional braces. During your consultation, Dr. Krendl will evaluate your bite and smile and determine the best treatment to address your needs.
Littleton's trusted, local practice since 1979.
Littleton's trusted, local practice since 1979.

Consultation

At your initial consultation, Dr. Krendl will examine your mouth using X-rays or intraoral scanners to assess your mouth and determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign or if your case requires treatment by an orthodontist.

Planning

If Invisalign is determined to be a good solution, we will create digital impressions of your teeth to guide the design of your aligner trays. We can even give you a sneak peek at your future, improved smile using advanced digital imagery.

Fabrication

Dr. Krendl will send the digital images and design specifications to a lab where technicians will create the custom aligners that will straighten your teeth. The number of aligners you need will depend on your treatment plan.

Treatment Period

When your trays arrive from the lab, we will fit the first in the series and explain how to wear and care for them. You should wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, only removing them to eat, drink, brush, and floss. About every two weeks you will switch to the next aligners in the set.

Follow-Up Appointments

About every six to eight weeks, you will come to the practice for a check-in appointment so Dr. Krendl can assess the progress of your treatment.

Final Results

At the end of your treatment, you can expect an improved smile and the desire to happily share it.

Should I Hold Onto My Clear Aligners?

/

Yes, you should. Even after you have moved on to a different pair of ClearCorrect or Invisalign aligners, you should still keep your previous sets. They'll give Dr. Krendl a reference throughout your ClearCorrect or Invisalign treatment and allow you to have a temporary backup in case you lose or damage an aligner. Store them in a cool, dry place until you have been cleared to get rid of them.
